Frequently Asked Questions

General

The revolutionary RinseKit is a portable pressurized shower/clean up system that’s like having a hose to go! It does not require pumping or batteries, fills in just 30 seconds from a hose bib or sink, and is designed to keep the same water pressure as your house for up to one month!

The RinseKit's patented design transfers the water pressure from your home to the pressure chamber tank when you fill it from a hose bib or sink (with Hot Water Sink Adapter accessory). Check it out!

Plus:

Pod:

There are three ways to fill your RinseKit.

1. Using a Hose Bib: The RinseKit hose quickly attaches to
your water spigot with a quick connect coupler and fills the eon™ pressure
chamber with approximately 65 PSI of water pressure. All you need is your
RinseKit and a hose bib! Directions for filling this way can be found inside
the box and on the tray of the RinseKit Plus.

2. Using your sink and our Hot Water Sink Adapter accessory:
Simply unscrew the threading of your standard home sin k, attach the Hot Water
Sink Adapter accessory, and connect your RinseKit via the quick connect piece
and you can fill your RinseKit with hot or cold water!

3. Remotely using still water and our Pressure Booster Pump
accessory
: Just unscrew the drain plug and pour water into the tank. When
t he tank is 95% full, install our Pressure Booster Pump accessory into one of
the drain ports by turning it clockwise until it is snug. Once installed,
you can hand pump pressure into the unit using the built-in pressure gauge to
add the optimum amount of pressure to your unit (65 PSI). The pump can remain
in the RinseKit and does not need to be removed after each use.

No batteries. No moving parts. No nuclear reactors.

We recommend filling your RinseKit with 65 PSI for optimum use. Do not fill your RinseKit with water pressure higher than 75 PSI, as the tank is not meant to withstand such high pressures. The standard water pressure for most homes is 65 PSI.

If you are unsure of your home's water pressure, you can either call your water provider and ask for a reading, or you can purchase your own pressure gauge at a local hardware store and test it yourself.

If your homes water pressure exceeds 75 PSI, you can purchase a pressure regulator so your tank does not fill with more than 60 PSI. A pressure regulator can be found in any hardware store!

One gallon of water weights approximately 8.33 lbs. Check out how much each unit weighs when they are completely full of water.

RinseKit Pod: 19 lbs

RinseKit Plus: 24 lbs

Yes you can! Our BPA free RinseKit can be filled up with portable drinking water for pets and people. It can also be filled with other liquids like soap or cleaning solutions. If you use your RinseKit as a cleaning budding or sanitation device and want to fill it with a cleaning solution, please follow the guidelines from the CDC before you do so. For directions on bleach use, please visit: https://www.cdc.gov/healthywater/emergency/cleaning-sanitizing/household-cleaning-sanitizing.html

The Hot Rod Water Heater quickly and safely heats the water in your RinseKit to a comfortable shower temperature. Now you can have a hot shower anywhere!

The Plus and Pod models can be filled with hot water from your sink using our Hot Water Sink Adapter and our Hot Rod Water Heater will continue to heat the water as you’re on your way to your next big adventure! The heater will heat the Plus 11 degrees Fahrenheit every 30 minute interval and the Pod heats 13 degrees Fahrenheit every 30 minute interval.

The Hot Rod Water Heater is made of stainless steel, so it is rust free and easy to clean!

Yes, the Heater is compatible with our Classic Plus and Pod models as well as our previous Lux and Original Black RinseKit models.

1) Open the lid of your RinseKit and unscrew the drain plug by turning it counter-clockwise.

2) Turn your RinseKit upside down and drain all of the water out.

3) Turn your RinseKit right side up and using your hands only, screw the heating rod into the drain port by turning it clockwise. Be very careful not to cross thread the metal threads of the heater with the plastic threads of the tank. It’s helpful to push the top of the heating probe straight down into the threads and slowly turn the probe clockwise until the threads engage. Hold the timer and cord with your other hand to allow it to spin as you screw the heater into the RinseKit tank. If the heater is difficult to turn, then you’ve cross threaded it. Do not force it. Back out the heater by turning it counter clockwise and try again.

4) Once you have the heater probe hand tight, then use the wrench provided (27mm) to snug it firmly.

5) Fill your RinseKit as you normally would. If you have not filled it before, please refer to the instructions inside the lid of your RinseKit or watch a video on how to fill your RinseKit in this FAQ section. We recommend that you completely fill your RinseKit before using the heater. This will ensure that the heating probe is completely submerged. Turning the heater on while the RinseKit is empty could cause the heater to overheat and damage it. Once the heater is inserted into the drain port, it is ok to leave the heater permanently installed in the RinseKit.

1) Once the heater probe is installed and the RinseKit is filled, load the RinseKit in your vehicle in a secure place where it will not tip over or hit you in the case of an accident.

2) Plug the timer into the 12v power socket (cigarette lighter) of your vehicle and set the timer to either 30 minutes, 60 minutes or 90 minutes.

a. Press the silver button one time on the timer and the water will heat for 30 minutes.

b. Press the silver button twice and the water will heat for 60 minutes.

c. Press the silver button three times and the timer will heat for 90 minutes.

If you press the silver button 4 times it will reset to off.

The specific time light (30, 60 or 90 mins) will blink when the heater has been activated. The heater will then begin heating within 2 seconds after the time has been selected.

When the timer reaches the last 5 minutes of heating, the 5 min light will blink.

Note: For every 30 minutes of time, the water water will heater approximately 11 degrees Fahrenheit.

NOTE: Vehicle power to the 12v power socket (cigarette lighter) on some vehicles shuts off when the ignition key is turned off. To test your vehicle, watch to see if the LED light shuts off when you turn off your ignition key. If the light goes out, the heater will not activate as there is no power. If the 12v power socket (cigarette lighter) in your car stays on when your key is turned off, then the heater will continue to heat while your car is parked. If your car has a weak battery, we do not recommend leaving the heater turned on for more than one hour.

1) The car key is turned off and your particular car might require the key to be turned on to 'accessory mode' or the car may need to be running to provide power to the socket. Some auto manufacturers allow the socket to be powered with the key off or even out of the car and some need the key to be switched on.

2) Plug in another device like a phone charger to see if it lights up or powers up your device. If it does not, and the car key is on, then you may have a blown fuse. Consult your owners manual to find the fuse box and the specific fuse to the accessory socket and inspect it to see if it is broken. The heater draws 9 amps and most car accessory port fuses are 10 amp fuses, so the heater is designed to not blow the fuse. If it is broken, then replace it. If the new fuse does not fix the problem, then you may have a loose or damaged wire. Time to see a mechanic!

3) The heater got damaged in shipping. If this is the case, please try the heater in another vehicle that you know has a working accessory socket. If it still doesn’t work, please contact us and we will replace your heater with a new one if it is still within the year.

Yes, anything that gets hot could be potentially dangerous. Here are our WARNINGS:

• Water temperature over 125 degrees Fahrenheit can cause severe burns instantly

• Feel water before rinsing or showering

• Children and elderly are at highest risk of being scalded

Do not cycle the timer for more than 90 minutes

Pressure Booster Pump

1. Remove the drain plug from your RinseKit by turning it in a counterclockwise direction.

2. Place the Pressure Booster Pump into the drain port and hand tighten it by turning it in a clockwise direction. Please be careful to not cross thread! If the pump is difficult to turn, then you’ve cross threaded it. Do not force it. Back out the pump by turning it counter clockwise and try again.

3. Once the pump is firmly secure, you are ready to use your RinseKit.

If you don't have access to a hose bib or sink and want to pressurized your RinseKit remotely, follow these directions:

1. Unscrew the drain plug from your RinseKit and pour water into the tank.

2. When the RinseKit is 95% full, install the Pressure Booster Pump by placing it in the drain port and turning it in a clockwise direction.

3. When the pump is securely installed, use your hand to pump pressure into the unit. Make sure to look at the pressure gauge located on the top of the pump to ensure that you are pressurizing your RinseKit to the recommended 65 PSI.

If you have access to a hose bib or have access to a sink and own our Hot Water Sink Adapter accessory, you do not need the pump to pressurize your RinseKit.

The Pressure Booster Pump allows you to pressurize your RinseKit when you do not have access to a hose bib or sink. It is also great for adding additional pressure to your RinseKit if you have low water pressure or want to get the maximum spray time from your unit. Users who add additional pressure into their RinseKit after normal filling, get approximately 25% more spray time!

The pump will only read the PSI inside tank when the pump is in motion, not when it only sits in the tank.

Hot Water Sink Adapter

Now you can fill your RinseKit with hot or cold water! Or, if you do not have access to a hose spigot, you can fill from your sink! Simply screw this adapter to your sink faucet and quickly fill your RinseKit with hot, cold, or warm water.
