RinseKit Team Participates in #4literschallenge for World Water Week
We here at RinseKit like to consider ourselves water accessibility professionals. Our products, and our brand are centered around making water more accessible in inaccessible places - the beach, campsites, off-grid and more. Since we are all about water accessibility, we also feel it is also our responsibility to advocate for those who don’t have access to water at all, not just out in the field.
We’ve followed up on this responsibility to help more people have access to water by partnering with DigDeep, a non-profit on a mission to provide clean water to nearly 2.2 million Americans currently living without it. So far we’ve raised $1,000 towards our $3,000 goal for the quarter, which will cover the cost of installing a clean, running water system for one family in Appalachia. With the help of you, our customers and fans, we’re constantly advancing towards that goal, and we couldn’t do it without you.
This week happens to be a special week for Dig Deep as it is World Water Week. World Water Week is scheduled for August 23-27 every year and is a five day event held by the Stockholm International Water Institute. It is the world’s leading water conference, designed to address water and sustainability issues as well as related concerns of development worldwide. It is the largest event of its kind, bringing awareness to water inequality and injustice around the world.
To put ourselves in shoes of the 2.2+ million Americans without running water for a day in honor of #WorldWaterWeek, our team here at RinseKit set out to use #4Liters - or 4 Sports - of water as efficiently as possible.
Turns out making 1 gallon of water last the whole day is pretty tough. We found that out first hand & we encourage you to learn with us. Check out the video below to see how we did & click here to learn how to accept the challenge for yourself. We're giving away a Pod and Sport to one of you that accepts the challenge with us this week!
Shoutout to @DigDeepWater for partnering with us on this and working to end the water crisis in America! Show your support for the cause & join in with us and/or #donate here:
