Frequently Asked Questions
No. We unfortunately do not have left over spare parts for discontinued models. If you are interested in upgrading your RinseKit to a current model, please reach out to our customer service team for an upgrade discount code.
No. All of our models arrive to our warehouse pre-assembled, meaning that we are unable to offer replacement tanks as we do not have any available. If your unit is losing pressure, and it was purchased less than 1 year ago, please fill out or warranty form here.
Note: Leaks are typically caused by over-pressurization of the tank. We recommend filling your RinseKit Pod and Plus with 55-65 PSI of pressure. If you do not know the water pressure of your house or spigot, the city can typically provide a reading for free, or you can buy a pressure gauge from most hardware stores.
4.5 gallon RinseKit PRO PAK
The PRO PAK sprays at continuous rate of 50 PSI and comes with a 5 spray setting nozzle, see below for spray times per setting:
Shower = 8:00 minutes
Center= 8:30 minutes
Mist = 30:00+ minutes
Jet = 7:00 minutes
Flat = 7:00 minutes
*All spray times are approximate and may vary. When filling the PRO PAK, ensure it is positioned on its bottom with the EVA foam against the ground.
For prolonged or cold storage, drain all of the water out and allow the pump to run dry for 30 seconds to remove any remaining water out of the system. Keep the PRO PAK horizontal with the water tank cap up for proper battery orientation. We recommend bringing the PRO PAK indoors when possible. You can leave the PAK outside as long as the temperature is above 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Freezing the PRO PAK can cause damage to the internal water pump.
The Touchless Auto Nozzle, PRO Immersion Heater and HyperHeater Portable Water Heater are all compatible with the PRO PAK.
2 gallon rinsekit plus
The Plus comes with a 5 spray setting nozzle, see below for spray times per setting:
Center = 4:15 minutes
Shower = 1:30 minutes
Mist = 10:00 minutes
Jet = 2:30 minutes
Flat = 2:45 minutes
*All spray times are approximate. Spray times will vary depending on the pressure of the unit. For best results, make sure the pressure inside the tank is 55-65 PSI
The RinseKit Plus' patented design transfers the water pressure from your home to the pressure chamber tank when you fill it from a hose bib or sink (with Hot Water Sink Adapter accessory). NOTE: If you are filling remotely and have to pour water into the RinseKit versus connecting it to a water source, you can use the Pressure Booster Pump that comes with your Plus to add in pressure by hand.
There are three ways to fill your RinseKit Plus:
1. Using a Hose Bib: The RinseKit hose quickly attaches to your water spigot with a quick connect coupler and fills the eon™ pressure chamber with approximately 65 PSI of water pressure. All you need is your RinseKit and a hose bib. Directions for filling this way can be found on the tray of the RinseKit Plus.
2. Using your sink and our Hot Water Sink Adapter accessory: Simply unscrew the threading of your standard home sink, attach the Hot Water Sink Adapter accessory, and connect your RinseKit via the quick connect piece and you can fill your RinseKit with hot or cold water!
3. Remotely using still water and our Pressure Booster Pump accessory: Just unscrew the drain plug and pour water into the tank. When the tank is 95% full, install our Pressure Booster Pump accessory into one of the drain plug ports by turning it clockwise until it is snug. Once installed, you can hand pump pressure into the unit using the built in pressure gauge to add the optimum amount of pressure to your unit (65 PSI). The pump can remain in the RinseKit and does not need to be removed after each use.
We recommend filling your RinseKit Plus with 65 PSI for optimum use. Do not fill the Plus with water pressure higher than 75 PSI, as the tank is not meant to withstand such high pressures. The standard water pressure for most homes is 65 PSI.
• If you are unsure of your home's water pressure, you can either call your water provider and ask for a reading, or you can purchase your own pressure gauge at a local hardware store and test it yourself
• If your homes water pressure exceeds 75 PSI, you can purchase a pressure regulator so your tank does not fill with more than 60 PSI. A pressure regulator can be found in any hardware store.
1.5 gallon rinsekit Pod
The Pod comes with a 5 spray setting nozzle, see below for spray times per setting:
Center = 3:30 minutes
Shower = 1:00 minutes
Mist = 8:00 minutes
Jet = 2:00 minutes
Flat = 2:15 minutes
*All spray times are approximate. Spray times will vary depending on the pressure of the unit. For best results, make sure the pressure inside the tank is 55-65 PSI
The RinseKit Pod's patented design transfers the water pressure from your home to the pressure chamber tank when you fill it from a hose bib, using our Hose Bib Adapter or sink (with Hot Water Sink Adapter accessory).
There are two ways to fill your RinseKit Pod:
1. Using a Hose Bib: The RinseKit hose quickly attaches to your water spigot with a quick connect coupler and fills the eon™ pressure chamber with approximately 65 PSI of water pressure. All you need is your RinseKit and a hose bib.
2. Using your sink and our Hot Water Sink Adapter accessory: Simply unscrew the threading of your standard home sink, attach the Hot Water Sink Adapter accessory, and connect your RinseKit via the quick connect piece and you can fill your RinseKit with hot or cold water!
We recommend filling your RinseKit Pod with 65 PSI for optimum use. Do not fill the Pod with water pressure higher than 75 PSI, as the tank is not meant to withstand such high pressures.
Pressure Booster Pump
The Pressure Booster Pump allows you to repressurize your RinseKit Plus or Pod on the go - simply by screwing it into your RinseKit accessory port and pumping it. The pressure gauge on top helps you make sure that you’re not over pressurizing, by showing you the PSI inside the tank.
1. Remove the drain plug from your RinseKit by turning it in a counterclockwise direction.
2. Fill the unit with water and leave about an inch of air space inside the tank. You can stick your finger in the drain port to measure the water, it doesn't need to be exact.
3. Place the Pressure Booster Pump into the drain port and hand tighten it by turning it in a clockwise direction. Please be careful to not cross thread! If the pump is difficult to turn, then you’ve cross threaded it. Do not force it. Back out the pump by turning it counter clockwise and try again.
4. Once the pump is firmly secure, you are ready to add pressure to your RinseKit.
The pump will only read the PSI inside tank when the pump is
in motion, not when it sits idle in the tank.
If you have access to a hose bib or have access to a sink and own our Hot Water Sink Adapter accessory, you do not need the pump to pressurize your RinseKit. The Pressure Booster Pump allows you to pressurize your RinseKit when you do not have access to a hose bib or sink. It is also great for adding additional pressure to your RinseKit if you have low water pressure or want to get the maximum spray time from your unit. Users who add additional pressure into their RinseKit after normal filling, get approximately 25% more spray time!
Touchless Auto Nozzle
The Auto-Nozzle is a touchless portable faucet equipped with motion-detection technology that is compatible with all of our battery powered RinseKits. When connected to the RinseKit via the quick connect adapter on the hose, the Auto-Nozzle dispenses water at the wave of a hand. It can also be mounted on any surface with the suction cup mount, enabling you to set up a touchless hand washing station at the campsite, in the parking lot, or wherever else life takes you.
The Auto Nozzle has a motion sensor located on the front of the device. To trigger the sensor, wave your hands within 4 inches of the nozzle and water will dispense. Make sure that the RinseKit logo is always positioned at the top of the nozzle, as the sensor and USB charging port are not waterproof.
The Auto Nozzle’s lithium battery should last approximately 6 months per full charge depending on frequency of use. Each unit comes with a USB charging cable that can easily be plugged into any USB charging port.
Yes. The Auto Nozzle is water resistant, but it is not completely waterproof. You should not submerge the Auto Nozzle and try to keep it dry. Make sure that the RinseKit logo is always positioned at the top of the nozzle, as the sensor and USB charging port are not waterproof.
The Auto Nozzle has one setting, the flow of the "spray" is comparable to that of a standard kitchen faucet.
To turn on the Auto Nozzle, first simply turn your RinseKit on and then make sure the on/off valve is in the ON position. To turn off the Auto Nozzle, just turn the RinseKit off and make sure the on/off valve is in the OFF position.
The Auto Nozzle will not continue to leak as long as the RinseKit is powered off and the on/off valve is in the OFF position.
Pro immersion heater
The Immersion Heater is our electric water heater compatible with the RinseKit PRO. The stainless steel rod screws into your PRO, and is powered by a trailer hitch power cord. It can heat the water in your RinseKit up to 110°F! It boasts an LED top display panel to display any warning signs, as well as a safety shut off function so that it doesn’t overheat. When combined with the PRO, the Immersion heater allows you to take a hot shower anywhere, without the use of propane or any other fuels.
The PRO Immersion heater plugs into your vehicles trailer hitch and will run off of your cars’ battery. For best results, we recommend initially filling your unit with warm water and then inserting the heater, the higher the starting temperature the quicker the water will heat up!
Warning: The heater will heat as long as it is connected to a power source. Unplug the 12v or trailer hitch plug from your vehicle when your engine is off. Your car battery will drain if the plug stays connected.
Using electricity to heat water takes a lot more time and power than you'd think! Here are some of our hot tips and best practices to get the most out of your Immersion Heater:
Start Warm- Fill the RinseKit with warm water to start; the higher the starting temp, the quicker it will heat up. When not in use, store the RinseKit in your car to prevent heat from escaping.
Mix It Up- While heating, mix up the water in the RinseKit to even out the temperature.
No Trailer Hitch? No Problem.– Alternatively, the included 12v cord can be used to heat up the water in your RinseKit. Keep in mind that the 12v draw is significantly less than the trailer hitch and it will take longer for the water to heat.
One version of the Immersion Heater has a trailer hitch power cord that is compatible with 2015 or newer Ford vehicles and one is NOT, due to the internal wiring of older Ford vehicles. Please read thoroughly and ensure you are purchasing the correct version that will work with your vehicle.
The trailer hitch pulls 266 WATTS and 20 AMPS.
No. The internal structure of the Cube and Rack Shower does not allow the PRO Immersion Heater to fit into the top opening. Additionally, the threading for the Immersion Heater is not compatible with the Cube or Rack Shower.
The threaded sleeve diameter of the Immersion Heater will only fit with the opening of the PRO and limited edition PRO PAK. All previous RinseKit models have a smaller diameter opening that the Immersion Heater is NOT compatible with.
Yes. Anything that gets hot can potentially be dangerous. Here are our warnings:
• Water temperature over 125 degrees Fahrenheit can cause severe burns instantly
• Feel water before rinsing or showering
• Children and elderly are at highest risk of being scalded
• Do not leave the PRO Immersion Heater unattended while connected to power
Please refer to your instruction booklet for a full list of important safety information.
